Brushable, fiber-reinforced, cement-based waterproofing mortar that protects lightweight insulations, which are covered with cement mortars, from water absorption, especially if they show cracks or are friable and dusty.

Cracked tile and marble grouts turn lightweight insulations from mortars into "water reservoirs".

This frequent phenomenon oxidizes the reinforcement of the concrete and progressively weakens it, leading to the disintegration of plasters and peeling of paints.

It is classified as a concrete surface protection (c) according to EN 1504-2.

HYDROSTOP FLOOR is essential before the installation of tiles and marbles, for waterproofing the substrate in pools, bathrooms, showers, balconies, terraces, aerated concrete.

It is suitable for protecting surfaces from moisture and for smoothing them.

On surfaces exposed to intense temperature variations, there are capillary cracks and elastic sealing is required, as well as at the junctions of horizontal and vertical surfaces covered by skirting, the addition of DUROSTICK's D-20 acrylic emulsion to the mixing water in a water: D-20 ratio of 1:1 to 2:1 or DUROMAX in a 1:5 ratio with water, increases the elasticity of the material, surface resistance to twists, adhesion, and waterproofing.

The installation of tiles is recommended to be done after at least 2 days.

Surface preparation:

• Clean the surfaces from dust, oils, fats, loose residues and rinse them thoroughly with water.
• Mix the mortar with water in a ratio of 25kg mortar with approximately 7.0-7.5lt water, stirring continuously with a low-speed drill or mortar mixer, until a homogeneous mass without lumps is created.

Application:

• HYDROSTOP FLOOR is applied crosswise on a wet surface in 2-3 equal thickness coats, 1mm each, with a 3-4 hour interval between the first and second coat, using a brush or relief roller or squeegee (T) or the back of the notched trowel used for tile adhesive application.
• If the time interval between coats is more than 3-4 hours, re-wet the surface.
• The freshly coated surface should be protected from high temperature, rain, and frost for the next 24 hours.
• Once hardened, the product is harmless to health.
• Consumption: 11.3kg/m²/mm layer thickness.
