In 1921, the Swiss Philhellene Paul Amadeus Dinach, after an accident, falls into a lethargic sleep (clinically dead for 15 minutes). His consciousness slips forward in time. He finds himself in the year 3906 A.D., yet retains the awareness of his own self. He is reincarnated as the physicist Andreas Northam.
He then learns and conveys to us the historical events that shook humanity from 2000 A.D. to 4000 A.D. He refers to the achievements of that great civilization of the 4th millennium, in which the distant descendants of today's Europeans will live. He envisions a pan-European system with a peculiar socialism, under the aegis of Europeans, coexisting within a supreme spiritual life - parallel to material prosperity.
The lyrical language, artistic creation, philosophical reflection, metaphysical faith, and in general all values and high ideals reach their peak. In 3906 A.D., the Valley of Roses - the spiritual capital of Earth - (somewhere in southern Europe, in the Mediterranean region) is inhabited by 6,000,000 people, who are the epitome of the spiritual world of the hydrosphere.
There, Homo Sapiens-Sapiens (Alexis Volki) transforms (gaining hyper-vision, immediate enlightenment, and contact with the light) into Homo Occidentalis-Novus, the new man with anatomical changes in the main brain centers.
Paul Amadeus Dinach recorded his experience and delivered his manuscripts in German to the later rector of Panteion University, George Papachatzis, the translator, commentator, and first publisher of this astonishing modern (prophetic or historical?) text. Nevertheless, everything that Dinach mentions (lasers, nuclear energy, thermonuclear explosion, three-dimensional images, etc.) from 1921 to 2000 has all been verified.
