Double Canvas
The tent contains 2 separate layers, which are placed one on top of the other on its roof or upper part.
Usually, the first layer has waterproofing, while the second is a layer that allows air passage and offers better ventilation in the tent.
Construction
Thanks to the particularly quick and easy setup and the durable, stable frame, it offers comfort and protection for small families and groups. It features 3,000 mm waterproofing, an outer fabric made of durable polyester Outtex 3000 with sealed seams, ensuring protection from rain and wind, and breathable fabric on the inside for an enjoyable sleeping environment. The fully sealed and waterproof, double-coated polyethylene floor is suitable for keeping moisture and insects out of the interior.
Additionally, it features an ergonomic door for easy entry/exit at the front and back, mosquito netting on both doors, an effective ventilation system, and a special coating to prevent overheating inside during the hot summer months, making this tent one of the most practical choices for active campers.
Fiberglass frame
The frame made of fiberglass is a common choice for the construction of camping tents. It is a lightweight and durable material, made from fiberglass fibers that are usually coated with polyester to protect them from water and moisture.
Fiberglass is flexible, so the frame can be lightweight and flexible to support the tent fabric.
What does the waterproof rating on camping tents indicate?
The waterproofing of a tent indicates how much water its outer fabric can repel. It is measured in millimeters (mm) and refers to how many millimeters of a vertical water column (and thus pressure) a square centimeter of fabric can withstand without being penetrated by water.
The higher the waterproofing rating, the less breathable the fabric is, and thus the warmer the tent. Common waterproofing values range from 500mm to 10,000mm. Theoretically, any fabric with waterproofing >1000mm is considered waterproof. For example, a summer tent may have waterproofing from 500 to 1500mm.
