In this book that you hold in your hands, dear reader, God grants us the opportunity to narrate the life and the martyrdom of a Saint of our Church, who was previously a sorcerer and servant of demons.
However, he sincerely repented for what he did, believed in Christ, and was baptized as a Christian. And not only that. He also became a priest of God from being a priest of demons. Finally, he was honored to be ordained as a bishop of the Church.
This is Saint Cyprian from Antioch in Syria, who lived in the 3rd century A.D. The life of Cyprian is also connected to that of the virgin Justina, who shared the same martyrdom with him.
We then include some prayers of Saint Cyprian and our Church against sorcery and "the fiery darts of the wicked, which are maliciously directed against us." Finally, we close the book with the hymnody of the Holy Hieromartyr Cyprian and the Holy Virgin Martyr Justina, who are celebrated on the same day, October 2nd, the day of their martyrdom.
