I own a car that burns oil. I decided to do the experiment, instead of changing the viscosity like most people do, to go for a different specification. Yes, it is fully synthetic, 10w40, but noticeably thicker. Surprisingly, it burns faster compared to the Liqui Moly 10w40 that I always used. The engine RPMs dropped more slowly and overall it didn't help at all, as an experiment. It probably raised the pressures. Now I put in the also fully synthetic Magma SynF1 10w40 and the difference is more than noticeable.
