“After the `Municipal Anthology` (Athens, 1868-1869) by Michail S. Lelekos, which contained a short chapter and obscene folk verses (`The Priapeia`), one observes that a few years later well-known modern Greek poets and scholars engage in obscene poetry, who for obvious reasons do not sign their works, thus these appear as creations of unknown or anonymous authors.
Such authors (poets and prose writers) publish their works anonymously in the series `Library of Tersis`, which was printed in Leipzig around the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century.” [Excerpt from the text on the back cover of the edition]
