Overall, I really liked it; the reason I give it four stars is that for a large part of the book, the narration is done through newspapers, testimonies, interviews, etc., which is not bad, it just seemed abrupt to me how the narration changed, resulting in me getting quite confused about what I was reading, but this might be my own issue and you may not have a problem. Nevertheless, it is a very nice book, and certainly what I said is not a reason for you not to read it.

The first book that Stephen King wrote and one of his best. I read it in about three days. Very well-written characters and an exceptional writing style that builds tension for the events that unfold towards the end. It was scary but I would say more anxiety-inducing. Definitely worth its money and more.

I loved it. It's one of those books that captivate you, that even though you know the ending almost from the beginning, you can't put it down, that you love the vulnerable yet invincible heroine, that you hate the world with its stereotypes and fears that it holds within (even though you know that the right thing is the opposite, it would allow you to hate the protagonist-murderer and feel pity and love for the victims and society itself), that from a certain point on, you stop thinking and just keep reading.

The first book by King. A very original and quite strange book with a crazy story that will enchant you, captivate you, and absorb you within it. If you want a nice, somewhat strange, dark, and bloody story, read it.

For those who don't know, this is Stephen King's first book published in 1974. It is easy to read, so I would recommend it for someone who wants to start reading Stephen King as their first book. Otherwise, it is 317 pages long and had a very strong plot. It flowed smoothly and made you not want to put it down, so I finished it in 3 days. It is quite scary and strange (but that is usual for Stephen King). Overall, I loved this book and I recommend it for fans of the genre.
