This book is the result of many years of teaching by the two authors at the Department of Veterinary Medicine of A.U.Th, at the Departments of Agronomy of A.U.Th. and the University of Thessaly, as well as at the Technological Educational Institutes.

The writing of a thorough yet concise educational manual was decided to accompany the teaching of the structure and function of animal organisms to undergraduate students of the Higher Education Agronomy Departments.

For this reason, an effort was made to create an accessible text with many diagrams, without many details and specialized references, which students could later engage with during their postgraduate studies.

No preliminary knowledge is required to understand the text; however, if the students have already studied some courses in biology, zoology, or animal science, their comprehension will be facilitated.
