  • Excellent body, very delicate. The saltiness and the smoky element are noticeable just enough to leave you with a nice smokiness without overpowering the other flavors as they develop. In a measure, add 5 to 7 drops of pure water and enjoy it! Worth it and definitely at the price of 90€!

  • A rather distinctive and extremely salty whisky.

The aroma is salty and reminds you of the sea. There is quite a bit of sharpness and these two elements dominate. It is very lively and mischievous on the nose.

In the mouth, it is very vibrant and bites you. Saltiness everywhere that bites your tongue and cheeks. It is a little sweet but mainly salty with lots of spices and a bit of pepper. In the finish, there is again sea salt, pepper, and dryness.

I would not call it smooth by any means, but rather the opposite. It has a lot of nerve, a lot of salt, and many spices. It resembles an Islay whisky without the smoke.

Personally, I liked it quite a lot because I like salty whiskies. I would have preferred it to be a bit sweeter and smoother or a bit thicker and not so sharp in the mouth, but even so, it is quite good. An ideal whisky for the sea, accompanied by food. (2018 bottled)

Seriously great value for money, one of the best 15-year-old Campbeltown whiskies. Plus, exceptional bottle

A masterpiece, this malt from Cambeltown. Vanilla, sea breeze, and spices with a long finish. It excels in all aspects. Perhaps the best value for money 15-year-old. An equivalent malt in quality and age from the show-off labels would cost at least double!

    Update 10/2023
The price in 2019 (when the first evaluation was made) was 65€. Today it costs 100€... They must have heard that it could "cost at least double"...
