Laphroaig Four Oak is a whisky matured in four types of casks: ex-bourbon barrels, small quarter casks, virgin American oak barrels and European oak hogsheads. It has a light golden colour.
Its aroma reveals peat smoke, iodine, sea air, spices, wood, vanilla, honey and ripe fruit. The palate is full and smooth, with notes of peat, sea salt, caramel, coconut, vanilla, charred wood, sandalwood and sweet spices, along with a creamy butterscotch character. The finish is long, slightly spicy and dry, with notes of smoke, ash and liquorice.
