Description

Deadhead is a 6-year-old rum in a bottle shaped like a severed head hanging by the hair, known as Tsantsa, a trophy kept from a defeated enemy.

The rum is a blend of sugarcane juice and molasses. It is double distilled and double aged in European oak barrels for six years before being expertly blended to achieve the desired rich, spicy flavor profile.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Apples, pears, and perhaps a hint of strawberry juice. Quite grassy, developing hints of mint chocolate.
Palate: Less fruit sweetness than the nose (although fresh fruits remain subtle). More sweet spices and caramel, with the grassy notes of the rum continuing.
Finish: Medium length, with the warmth of oak and a touch of lemon peel.
