For dry skin, if you don't apply moisturizer after using it, it pulls a bit as it is a cleanser and somewhat dehydrates you; otherwise, for oily skin, it is just right. It doesn't require much, it doesn't dry out my skin, but I always use moisturizer. It doesn't pull (if your skin pulls when you wash it, you're using the wrong soap) and it leaves it soft.
