The book emerged from the contemplation and effort for a methodical approach and study of the structure of ancient discourse and comes exactly to meet this need.

For this purpose, it attempts to highlight and present in an easily understandable and readable manner the basic syntactic phenomena of the ancient Greek language. The content is divided into sections, each structured into three parts: The first part includes tables that correspond theory with familiar examples. The second part delves into the syntactic phenomena and illuminates them from multiple angles with observations and notes. In the third part of each section, exercises related to the syntactic phenomena are provided.

Overall, the book contains 40 exercises and more than 1,500 examples, offering rich material for instruction to the teacher, for practice and engagement with the content for the student. At the end of the book, answers to all the exercises presented by sections are provided.

The originality of this writing effort mainly lies in the fact that theory is presented in correspondence with its example. Thus, the student perceives it, understands it, but also assimilates it directly. Moreover, the distinction between the basic knowledge for each syntactic phenomenon (first part of each section) and the in-depth exploration of this phenomenon with additional observations in more specific cases (second part of each section) meets the needs of both the beginner and those seeking knowledge of the structure of discourse with high standards.

Finally, the answers allow students to check whether they have successfully tackled the suggested exercises. Taking this into account, as well as the overall structure of the content, this particular book is suitable to serve as a method for self-study for students who wish to delve independently into the structure of ancient discourse. It is, of course, understood that this writing effort aspires to also serve as a proposal to the teacher for the methodical teaching of the Syntax of the Ancient Language.
