Oh, what you pay for, you get! That's the law. Compared to previous flash drives from well-known companies, it's day and night. My critique is solely about the reason it was purchased, i.e. for music playback in the car from a source (Alpine UTE-200BT).
I'll start with the design/appearance: Simply beautiful. Yes, it's small and runs the risk of getting lost, but it doesn't run the risk of accidentally damaging anything in the car like other bulky flash drives, possibly even the source's door.
Its responsiveness and speed surprised me, and I'm always speaking comparatively to previous flash drives and how they behaved with the same source. I didn't even have time to plug it in and it immediately read it. I exclusively used FLAC files in 24/48 (the maximum allowed by the source).
It played 150mb files as soon as I pressed play, it didn't struggle with playback, not even during fast forward. I didn't notice any temperatures, to be honest, as the trips were short.
However, my initial impression is that it's a reliable/modern flash drive. No matter how long it lasts, I consider it worth every last euro. And yes, I would buy it again. Must buy!
O,τι πληρωνεις παιρνεις! Αυτο ειναι νομος. Σε σχεση με προηγουμενα φλασακια γνωστων εταιριων ειναι η μερα με τη νυχτα. Η κριτικη μου αφορα αποκλειστικα το λογο για τον οποιον αγοραστηκε ,δλδ για αναπαραγωγη μουσικης στο αυτοκινητο σε πηγη (Alpine UTE-200BT).
Θα ξεκινησω με το design/εμφανιση : Aπλα πανεμορφο. Ναι,ειναι μικρο και κινδυνευει να χαθει, δεν κινδυνευει ομως να φαει καμια καταλαθος μεσα στ αμαξι οπως αλλα ογκωδη φλασακια και να προκληθουν ζημιες ισως και στη θυρα της πηγης.
Η ανταποκριση του και η ταχυτητα του με εξεπληξε και μιλαω παντα συγκριτικα με προηγουμενα φλασακια και το πως εκεινα συμπεριφεροτανε στην ιδια πηγη. Δεν προλαβα να το κουμπωσω και το διαβασε αμεσως. Χρησιμοποιησα αποκλειστικα αρχεια FLAC σε 24/48 (το μεγιστο που επιτρεπει η πηγη).
Αρχεια μεγεθους 150mb τα επαιξε με το που πατησα play,δε ζοριστηκε στην αναπαραγωγη,ουτε στο fast forward.
Θερμοκρασιες δεν παρατηρησα για να ειμαι ειλικρινης, καθως οι διαδρομες ηταν συντομες.
Η αρχικη μου εντυπωση ομως ειναι πως προκειται για ενα αξιοπιστο /μοντερνο φλασακι. Οσο καιρο και να κρατησει θεωρω οτι αξιζε και το τελευταιο ευρω. Kαι ναι, θα το αγοραζα ξανα.Must buy!

I bought it only as a backup for Windows 11 in case I needed to format, I even kept it in a paper envelope so it wouldn’t get dusty (meaning I took care of it and it wasn’t from misuse), and after 2-3 installations of Windows, suddenly it’s not recognized at all. Luckily, I didn’t need to install Windows now and just wanted to refresh the Windows that were already installed because months had passed, otherwise it would have been a disaster.

I didn't bother to replace it (the order was for Cyprus). It was probably a defective piece. DEEP DOWN, I BELIEVE THAT IF IT HADN'T BURNED OUT IMMEDIATELY, IT MIGHT HAVE WORKED FOR YEARS AFTER. Extremely fast and that's exactly why I got it - to connect it to Raspberry 4 8Gb as the main drive since it is many times faster than the memory card. Alternatively, I would have had an SSD which would be much more expensive and bulkier (with obviously greater capacity that the Raspberry doesn't need for where I need it).
Εξαιρετικά γρήγορο και γι' αυτό ακριβώς το πήρα - για να το συνδέσω σε Raspberry 4 8Gb σαν κύριο δίσκο μιας και είναι πολλές φορές γρηγορότερο από την memory card. Ενναλακτικά θα είχα SSD που θα ήταν πολύ ακριβότερο και πιο bulky (με μεγαλυτερη βεβαια χωρητικότητα που το raspberry δεν χρειαζεται για εκει που το χρειάζομαι).

Perfect in terms of speed initially. The fastest I have ever purchased. Unfortunately, it was in exFAT format and couldn't be used in the car. I converted it to FAT32 and it lost half of its speed. I converted it to NTFS, a little faster but... Eventually, I switched it back to exFAT but it never became as fast as initially. Overall, a very good purchase, but for God's sake, don't mess with the format. That's why it gets 4 stars
Τέλειο σε ταχύτητα αρχικά. Το πιο γρήγορο που έχω αγοράσει ποτέ. Δυστυχώς όμως ήταν σε μορφή exFAT και δεν μπορούσε να χρησιμοποιηθεί στο αυτοκίνητο. Το έκανα FAT32 και έχασε την μισή του ταχύτητα. Το μετέτρεψα σε NTFS, λίγο πιο γρήγορο αλλά... Τελικά το ξαναγύρισα σε exFAT αλλά ποτέ δεν ξανάγινε όσο γρήγορο όσο αρχικά. Γενικά πολύ καλή αγορά, αλλά προς Θεού, μην πειράζετε το format του. Γι΄αυτό και τα 4 αστέρια

I have the 64 and 128GB sticks. When I bought the 128GB size, I found it odd how the 32GB version was 2 euros more than the 64GB one.
I used two interfaces for the benchmarking: 3.0 and 3.1. 128GB reads at ~396 and writes at 65-ish on both interfaces. The 64GB version has the same read speed but its write is almost half at 35 MB/s. Based on this, I would pick the 128GB one.

This results from multiple small files taking longer to transfer than one big file. Advertised speed doesn't consider real-world complexities.
I did expect a significant difference across the two interfaces. The USB 3.1 one is a PCIe card that came with my mobo (Asus rampage v ext. for those wondering). Maybe the card's old, who knows?

Very good ... I have the 256 version and I use it to run Windows 11 .... normal speeds up to good ones somewhere around 400MB/s which is faster than an HDD .... I think it's the best solution for this purpose in USB!

Πολύ πιθανότατα. Ή portable games ή παιχνιδια σε εγκατεστημενο windows. Τα γραφικά θα σηκώνει η GPU και ο μονος περιορισμος θα ειναι η ταχύτητα φορτωσης των level ή αντικειμένων στον χαρτη αναλογα με το μεγεθος (mesh size, texture resolution etc.) Καλή ιδεα, θα το δοκιμασω καποια στιγμη.

Oh, what you pay for, you get! That's the law. Compared to previous flash drives from well-known companies, it's day and night. My critique is solely about the reason it was purchased, i.e. for music playback in the car from a source (Alpine UTE-200BT).
I'll start with the design/appearance: Simply beautiful. Yes, it's small and runs the risk of getting lost, but it doesn't run the risk of accidentally damaging anything in the car like other bulky flash drives, possibly even the source's door.
Its responsiveness and speed surprised me, and I'm always speaking comparatively to previous flash drives and how they behaved with the same source. I didn't even have time to plug it in and it immediately read it. I exclusively used FLAC files in 24/48 (the maximum allowed by the source).
It played 150mb files as soon as I pressed play, it didn't struggle with playback, not even during fast forward. I didn't notice any temperatures, to be honest, as the trips were short.
However, my initial impression is that it's a reliable/modern flash drive. No matter how long it lasts, I consider it worth every last euro. And yes, I would buy it again. Must buy!
O,τι πληρωνεις παιρνεις! Αυτο ειναι νομος. Σε σχεση με προηγουμενα φλασακια γνωστων εταιριων ειναι η μερα με τη νυχτα. Η κριτικη μου αφορα αποκλειστικα το λογο για τον οποιον αγοραστηκε ,δλδ για αναπαραγωγη μουσικης στο αυτοκινητο σε πηγη (Alpine UTE-200BT).
Θα ξεκινησω με το design/εμφανιση : Aπλα πανεμορφο. Ναι,ειναι μικρο και κινδυνευει να χαθει, δεν κινδυνευει ομως να φαει καμια καταλαθος μεσα στ αμαξι οπως αλλα ογκωδη φλασακια και να προκληθουν ζημιες ισως και στη θυρα της πηγης.
Η ανταποκριση του και η ταχυτητα του με εξεπληξε και μιλαω παντα συγκριτικα με προηγουμενα φλασακια και το πως εκεινα συμπεριφεροτανε στην ιδια πηγη. Δεν προλαβα να το κουμπωσω και το διαβασε αμεσως. Χρησιμοποιησα αποκλειστικα αρχεια FLAC σε 24/48 (το μεγιστο που επιτρεπει η πηγη).
Αρχεια μεγεθους 150mb τα επαιξε με το που πατησα play,δε ζοριστηκε στην αναπαραγωγη,ουτε στο fast forward.
Θερμοκρασιες δεν παρατηρησα για να ειμαι ειλικρινης, καθως οι διαδρομες ηταν συντομες.
Η αρχικη μου εντυπωση ομως ειναι πως προκειται για ενα αξιοπιστο /μοντερνο φλασακι. Οσο καιρο και να κρατησει θεωρω οτι αξιζε και το τελευταιο ευρω. Kαι ναι, θα το αγοραζα ξανα.Must buy!

I bought it only as a backup for Windows 11 in case I needed to format, I even kept it in a paper envelope so it wouldn’t get dusty (meaning I took care of it and it wasn’t from misuse), and after 2-3 installations of Windows, suddenly it’s not recognized at all. Luckily, I didn’t need to install Windows now and just wanted to refresh the Windows that were already installed because months had passed, otherwise it would have been a disaster.

Unfortunately, mine burned out on the first use. I went to write files of about 60-65GB. The first 30 were written at USB 3.1 speed, and then it dropped to 1-2 MB. I didn't bother to replace it (the order was for Cyprus). It was probably a defective piece. DEEP DOWN, I BELIEVE THAT IF IT HADN'T BURNED OUT IMMEDIATELY, IT MIGHT HAVE WORKED FOR YEARS AFTER. ANYWAY, IT IS VERY ELEGANT, I WOULD RISK GETTING THE SAME ONE AGAIN....

Extremely fast and that's exactly why I got it - to connect it to Raspberry 4 8Gb as the main drive since it is many times faster than the memory card. Alternatively, I would have had an SSD which would be much more expensive and bulkier (with obviously greater capacity that the Raspberry doesn't need for where I need it).
Εξαιρετικά γρήγορο και γι' αυτό ακριβώς το πήρα - για να το συνδέσω σε Raspberry 4 8Gb σαν κύριο δίσκο μιας και είναι πολλές φορές γρηγορότερο από την memory card. Ενναλακτικά θα είχα SSD που θα ήταν πολύ ακριβότερο και πιο bulky (με μεγαλυτερη βεβαια χωρητικότητα που το raspberry δεν χρειαζεται για εκει που το χρειάζομαι).

Perfect in terms of speed initially. The fastest I have ever purchased. Unfortunately, it was in exFAT format and couldn't be used in the car. I converted it to FAT32 and it lost half of its speed. I converted it to NTFS, a little faster but... Eventually, I switched it back to exFAT but it never became as fast as initially. Overall, a very good purchase, but for God's sake, don't mess with the format. That's why it gets 4 stars
Τέλειο σε ταχύτητα αρχικά. Το πιο γρήγορο που έχω αγοράσει ποτέ. Δυστυχώς όμως ήταν σε μορφή exFAT και δεν μπορούσε να χρησιμοποιηθεί στο αυτοκίνητο. Το έκανα FAT32 και έχασε την μισή του ταχύτητα. Το μετέτρεψα σε NTFS, λίγο πιο γρήγορο αλλά... Τελικά το ξαναγύρισα σε exFAT αλλά ποτέ δεν ξανάγινε όσο γρήγορο όσο αρχικά. Γενικά πολύ καλή αγορά, αλλά προς Θεού, μην πειράζετε το format του. Γι΄αυτό και τα 4 αστέρια

I have the 64 and 128GB sticks. When I bought the 128GB size, I found it odd how the 32GB version was 2 euros more than the 64GB one.
I used two interfaces for the benchmarking: 3.0 and 3.1. 128GB reads at ~396 and writes at 65-ish on both interfaces. The 64GB version has the same read speed but its write is almost half at 35 MB/s. Based on this, I would pick the 128GB one.

In practice, overhead in data transmission, protocol conversion, error correction, and other processes reduces the actual speed. This results from multiple small files taking longer to transfer than one big file. Advertised speed doesn't consider real-world complexities.
I did expect a significant difference across the two interfaces. The USB 3.1 one is a PCIe card that came with my mobo (Asus rampage v ext. for those wondering). Maybe the card's old, who knows?

Very good ... I have the 256 version and I use it to run Windows 11 .... normal speeds up to good ones somewhere around 400MB/s which is faster than an HDD .... I think it's the best solution for this purpose in USB!

Owner of 256GB and 128GB and I can say that it is the best for data transfer. I wonder why they haven't released the corresponding ones in usb-c to fit modern computers. This is what I would say is the only "negative" aspect...
