      There is stability in the measurements - it doesn't show you a different weight when you simply step on and off the scale at the same time, only when there is actually a change. So it's ideal for weight control.

      The screen doesn't have extra lighting, but for me, this is not a problem as it means better battery life (I've had it for months and it still doesn't need to be changed) and it is clear enough under normal lighting conditions.
