This volume is based on the proceedings of a conference titled "The Integration of the EU and the Future of Southeast Europe," which was organized by the Konstantinos Karamanlis Foundation and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Athens on June 1, 2002.
It follows the structure of three sessions around three main themes: "EU Enlargement - Exporting Stability or Importing Instability?", "The Process of Stabilization and Association Agreements with the European Union: Status and Prospects," and "The New European Architecture and the Future of Southeast Europe."
