Description & Specifications

In the parlors of the mansions of the interwar period, the beauties of the era photographed by Nelly's stood out. However, the most beautiful of the beauties photographed by the legendary photographer is Santorini.

And what is exceptional, even marvelous, both for the creator and for the island, is the fact that Nelly Souyioultzoglou-Seraidari (Aydini, 1899 - Athens, 1998) captured on glass plates, deep inside her oversized iconoscope, scenes and snapshots that even contemporary photographers capture with their high-tech digital gaze on microchips.

And although a destructive earthquake occurred in 1956, Nelly's perspective on the curves of the temples on the raised brow of the Caldera was far ahead of its time, between 1925 and 1930 when she photographed Santorini, certainly a century ahead, and the story continues.

After all, this is the essence of art: a timeless, perpetually contemporary, view on things. That is why the new edition, the 5th and final, of this album is an important contribution to the world of art.
