Description

The Pearl Daughter is the new captivating book by Lucinda Riley, author of the bestselling series The Star Daughters.

Keke D'Appliase has always felt like she belonged nowhere. After the death of her father – the mysterious billionaire Pa Salt, who adopted her along with her five sisters – she finds herself at a critical crossroads.

She abandons Art School and at the same time watches her beloved sister drift away to follow her love. In desperation, she decides to search for her roots; the only clues she has are a black-and-white photograph and the name of a trailblazing woman who lived in Australia a hundred years ago.

The first stop on her journey is Thailand. There, Keke meets a mysterious man as lonely as she is, who, however, harbors a great secret... When she arrives at her destination, she begins to believe that this wild, vast continent of Australia could offer her something she had previously thought impossible: the feeling that she has finally found a home...

It is wrong that these books, the entire series by Lucinda Riley, are characterized as "fantasy." At first, I was afraid to get them because I thought they were science fiction since they refer to the myth of the Pleiades, but in the end, they have nothing to do with that. The sisters in the book series simply took their names from the myth of the Pleiades, and that's where any other reference to unreal events ends. So if that worries you, don't think about it, get the whole series, the writing of the much-missed Lucinda is classically very beautiful.
