The TC Electronic Polytune 3 tuner pedal is a polyphonic and chromatic tuner for electric guitar, electric bass, and electro-acoustic instruments. Polyphonic mode displays the tuning of all strings simultaneously, while the device automatically switches between polyphonic and monophonic tuning depending on how many strings are played. Chromatic tuning has an accuracy of 0.5 cent, and strobe mode has an accuracy of ±0.02 cent.

The built-in BONAFIDE BUFFER analog circuit has a 1 MΩ input, a 100 Ω output, and a signal-to-noise ratio of >112 dB. Always On mode keeps the tuner active and permanently displays the tuning on the screen, even when muted. The 109-LED display features an ambient light sensor for automatic brightness adjustment.
