The black silhouette of a man stands out against the gray surface of a canvas leaning against the wall. His hands are 'hanging' loosely, and although we cannot see his eyes, he appears to be looking towards the camera.

For the past six months, this man has been trying to complete a massive mural (approximately 2.5x6 m) for the foyer of a wealthy client's home. The enormous canvas is in his apartment in New York, where a wall had to be torn down to fit it. There is no room for procrastination.

Christmas of 1943 is approaching, the client is preparing a big party, and the painting must be finished by then without fail. The painter, therefore, throws himself into the work and in one day and one night completes a piece that will be a true turning point in the history of 20th-century art: the Mural.
