The conservative rehabilitation of the shoulder includes two main stages. The first stage is the flexibility stage, where range of motion is restored and contracted elements are stretched. Static stretches are held for 20 to 30 seconds and repeated 5 to 6 times, while dynamic stretches are performed in 10-15 repetitions lasting 3-5 seconds.
The second stage is the strengthening stage, where the goal is to strengthen the muscles that contribute to the stability and movement of the joint. This is achieved through shoulder strengthening exercises performed with the aid of resistance bands, dumbbells, and functional exercises for the shoulder joint.
