    I bought this sander 5 months ago specifically for grills. I have been using Bosch and Dewalt sanders for years and wanted to step up to the next level with a high-quality tool that does a specific job. After minimal use (5-6 hours over a month), it started malfunctioning until it almost stopped working completely. From the first moment, I noticed that it overheats excessively to the point where gloves are necessary. Additionally, one of the clamps that holds the sandpaper broke very easily. I sent it to the purchasing company's service center, "Strigos Service," and they in turn sent it to Rupes' service center. A polite gentleman called me and told me that it suffered serious damage because I wasn't using an electric vacuum cleaner (!!!) to absorb the dust and sandpaper with holes (which is not available in the market for this sanding plate). We shared the cost of repair since the warranty didn't cover the damage. In short, I paid 50 euros including shipping, and they did me a favor, as they told me. I was disappointed because I believed that I had upgraded with a Rupes sander. Maybe mine happened to be defective. However, I was discouraged by the service's approach to consider buying RUPES again.
    On the positive side, its gentle operation and precision in work now that it has been repaired. Of course, I am afraid to push it too hard because it overheats again, and when sanding grills, you have to hold it at an angle, which doesn't make it convenient to use an electric vacuum cleaner since the suction hose hinders the work.
