I have had it in my possession for about a week now and I can't say that I am satisfied.
First of all, sometimes it "freezes" and you have to hold it in the socket that you are testing for two to three seconds or even turn it off and on a few times until it starts working properly, while other times it starts "beeping" from a distance. Most of the time it works correctly, but it requires attention.
The operation in two sensitivity ranges (12-50VAC and 50-1000VAC) is not accurate, as it "beeps" on cables with a voltage of 24VAC (or even lower) while I have it set to the reduced sensitivity (above 50V), so every time it detects voltage, it doesn't necessarily mean it detects danger.
Another issue is that in bright sunlight, the red light that flashes when it is activated is not visible and you have to cover it with your hand to create shade in order to see if it is activated or the sensitivity scale.
However, its biggest problem, which makes it almost useless, is its excessive sensitivity, especially when it is near DC cables or devices (even though it is supposed to detect only AC voltage). And when I say it is overly sensitive, I mean that while I have it set to detect voltage above 50V, it beeps when it is 10cm away from the charger cable of my phone (5VDC) and if I increase the sensitivity, it "buzzes" from a distance of 50-60cm from my laptop!!!!
As a side effect, if you check a socket or a cable and there is another cable or device nearby that has DC voltage, the tool will "beep" even if the cable you want to check has no current... In other words, the tool did not gain my trust. It is safer than a simple test screwdriver, but not more reliable...
I did not have a similar tool in the past to know if the above applies to all of them. I chose this particular one, which is one of the more expensive ones, expecting it to be top-notch in terms of quality. I don't know how much worse the ones that cost half the price are, but I can say with certainty that this one is definitely not worth the 30-something euros it costs.

***Update of the review: It has been over a year since I bought it and it is now forgotten in a drawer. The only reason I haven't thrown it away yet is because I regret the money I spent.
