The ANASTASIMATARIUM by Master Konstantinos Priggou was first printed in Constantinople, as written by the late Archon Music Teacher of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, Mr. Abraham Euthymiades.
It was published in issues in 1952 and 1953 by the Master himself, including only the four main tones (up to the stichera of the Fourth tone).
When the Master was hospitalized almost half-paralyzed at Evangelismos (1962), thanks to the expenses of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, I experienced him up close as I visited him almost daily. There, I asked him to accept me recording him with my tape recorder so that the Anastasimatarium, which had remained unfinished, could be completed.
He trusted me and agreed willingly, but unfortunately the publication of the complete Anastasimatarium did not happen while the Master was alive (it should be noted that at that time, along with the hymns of the Anastasimatarium, many other hymns were recorded, a true treasure for our ecclesiastical musical heritage).
