The 2nd Generation

The Samyang 35mm f/1.4 AF II is a versatile, well-rounded, wide-angle lens for Sony E-mount cameras. It excels in everything from street photography to landscape work and video, thanks to its full-frame coverage and customizable controls.

The updated autofocus system features an internal focusing design that maintains the overall lens length during use and prevents the rotation of the filter ring and lens barrel while focusing. This benefits the use of polarizing & ND filters.

A linear stepping motor is used for silent and precise operation. The integrated switch allows you to use the focus ring to control the aperture and features full-time focus override.

By intentionally using ultra-multi-coating technology, Samyang equipped this lens with two high refractive index elements and two aspherical elements to help control spherical aberrations and distortions for improved clarity, resolution, and sharpness.

The physical design features a weather-sealed construction for protection against dust and moisture. A rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.

Apart from the noise made by the lens when focusing, especially when shooting videos, the lens is superb. Value for money
