Blanton’s Original was created for connoisseurs who are familiar with strong and rich whiskey. It was born almost a century ago when Colonel Albert B. Blanton began producing bourbon, personally tasting and selecting each barrel. These barrels were kept and bottled for ambassadors and distinguished individuals, making it the world's first single barrel bourbon.

It has a spicy aroma of dried citrus and orange peel with a hint of caramel and vanilla. Full-bodied yet smooth, characterized by a blend of burnt sugar, caramel, orange, and clove. Balanced finish of vanilla, honey, and citrus.

As for the Jack single barrel, it is quite better overall! Really very good, but I can't say that I would buy it again!     I tried it completely randomly and I can say that I was surprised. Excellent, although quite expensive from what I can see. In terms of its alcohol content, it is very easy to drink straight. Having tried many malts, bourbons, and ryes recently, this one is top in its category and overall very good. The handwritten date and batch number is a fantastic touch! The bottle is also beautiful and adds to the ambiance of the space it is in.
