This book presents the post-Byzantine historical period (1025-1461 AD) in a narrative style, from the day after the death of the warlord conqueror Byzantine ruler Basil II 'Bulgar Slayer' to the fall of the last Byzantine stronghold, the Empire of Trebizond, to the Ottoman Turks after the Fall of Constantinople in 1453.
The narrative is followed by detailed tables of secular and ecclesiastical leaders of Byzantium and its neighboring nations/states, as well as a detailed bibliography of independent Greek and foreign-language aids, updated until the year 2002.
