    I have no point of comparison. I bought this specific machine because it was relatively affordable and promised a smooth performance. Indeed, it has not caused me any irritation problems and clearly gives me the best shaves of my life.

    I repeat that I have no point of comparison, as this is the first time I am using a classic machine. I compare it to the rubbish sold in supermarkets (Gilette, Wilkinson, Bic, etc.), whether disposable or the more fancy types like Sensor Excel, Mach3, and the like. Clearly, it is day and night. There is no discussion: throw them out the window, they are leagues below even if they have as many blades as they want.

    The only issue with the MERKUR is that the coating on one component (where the handle screws in) has come off and the iron is exposed. It's a minor issue, but worth mentioning. These things are paid a bit more for, hoping that you will have them forever. Approximately...
