Description

Description

The "Experiential Education and Development with Adventurous Group Activities" is not a new method, but the continuation and result of the educational community's efforts to find solutions to the fundamental problems of education and to shift the focus from the teacher and their intentions to the student and their needs.

Today, there are declared opponents of the method, who argue that it is a trend with minimal relation to education and development, especially in the professional sector, with high costs and risks. On the other hand, enthusiastic supporters claim that it offers significant opportunities for learning and change that lead to personal growth and professional improvement.

This book is aimed at anyone who wants to learn about Experiential Education and Development, either because they are involved in the education and development of people (teachers and educators, camp leaders, adult trainers, training and human resource managers) or because they want to understand it in depth (school and company directors) before organizing an experiential program for their students and staff.

In the first part of the book, we make an initial acquaintance with the method and present:

  • The basic concepts, history, goals, form, and content.
  • Its theoretical foundation.

In the second part of the book, we move from theory to practice and present:

  • The application of experiential education by schools and organizations.
  • The process for the proper design of a program and the steps for effective participation in it.
  • Examples that aid in better understanding the views and ideas of the book.
  • The measurable results and tangible benefits we gain when participating in experiential education programs.
