North of Zagori and up to the Greek-Albanian border, the mountains and ridges create a mountainous country that was unknown and inaccessible until relatively recently.

The wide flow of the Sarandaporos River forms the boundary between the three major mountains, Gramos, Smolikas, and Voiou, while the obscure Vasilitsa has become widely known in recent years thanks to its extensive ski resort.

The map covers the area between Nestori and Gramousta in the north and Smix and Konitsa in the south, and it is accompanied by a brief presentation of the main hiking trails in the area.
