Review this product
  • Very good choice, it gives a different perspective to the game. There are also very nice mods for campaign, on BGG, for the D&D series.

The game is a good introduction to the magic of Dungeon Crawlers or if players do not have much experience in them. Its tiles are beautifully painted and of high quality, perhaps some of the most beautiful in its category. There are many plastic figures, including some quite detailed ones, as well as a very large one! The game system is quite simple. It is played only cooperatively, with one to five players (one can also play alone). Monsters are placed at points indicated by the game and have automated movements. Essentially, it is a team that enters a jungle and tries to reach a tomb where they will defeat the final evil. It has 13 missions with a simplistic story. The good thing about this system is that, as designed with its unique tiles that create the terrain and combine randomly, the missions are a little or quite different each time they are played.

On the downside, the instruction booklet is quite unclear on some rules and we struggled to figure out what to do, while we had to search the internet for a solution. The missions, apart from a few exceptions, are somewhat repetitive, like find and kill so-and-so. It is somewhat easy, although an experienced player can adjust it, for example by increasing the tiles. It could also be a bit cheaper than 100 euros, especially when you can find other games of the same kind with greater variety than this one.
