Guys, the screen is what it says, 144hz 1ms... what don't you understand... some people say it doesn't work with HDMI... well, obviously, you're saying HDMI yourself... have you tried DP??? It's like giving a Ferrari to someone and they think it's a Rally... come on!!!! Anyway, the screen is pretty good with nice colors and if you combine it with freesyng (which it has!!) it's perfect value for money... the only flaw is the height adjustment... unacceptable... hp... but if you overlook that... the color quality compensates for it...

The screen simply isn't 144hz, I have it and when you set it to 120hz (always talking about 1080p) it's much smoother. Not worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Here's a budget monitor for 144hz. Don't get this one if it's for 144hz 1080p, only for 1440x1080.

12/9/2020 After 2 years of using the monitor:
The monitor (with Display Port and not HDMI as the smart guy said) still doesn't support 144hz. Yes, it shows it as an option in the NVidia Control Panel, but the monitor isn't smooth at that specific refresh rate. Anyone who has used 144hz on another monitor understands the difference in the first few seconds of use. The only positive thing about this monitor is its design, as the menu is quite difficult to use without a touchpad or a modern multi-purpose button. The monitor is adjusted with the 3 buttons on the bottom right, which don't have any labels and using the menu for the first time is really a game of chance.

For anyone who made the mistake of buying this monitor, or for someone who, despite reading this review, will still buy the monitor, set the refresh rate to 120Hz from the Nvidia Control Panel. The monitor doesn't struggle at that refresh rate and gameplay/surfing, etc. is much smoother. Of course, any other 144hz monitor has a HUGE difference in smoothness compared to this one, and for anyone who doubts it after the first day of use, I challenge them to go to an Internet Cafe and see for themselves the fact that they just wasted $240 on a bad monitor.

It is a big mistake that it exists in this category, as if you communicate with hp they will inform you that this monitor does not support these frequencies.
We are talking about a 1080p panel that reaches 120hz.
However, the hp omen 27 supports 144hz. Much better choice.

It is a remarkable screen that is comfortable and definitely worth its money.

First of all, the monitor is 144 Hz. I am uploading a screenshot of my screen settings here: https://ibb.co/drUNQU and here: https://ibb.co/gdVqUp. This is for someone who claims that it does not support such frequency.

Moving on to the rest. It has a 1ms response time. We can find it in the screen settings (main menu-->image control-->response time). If we leave it as default, the response time is 3ms, which does not affect games, but since we paid for it, why not enable it?

Connect the HDMI cable only to position 1 of the screen. For some strange reason, freesync does not always work in position 2.

For AMD owners, enable Freesync from Radeon Settings. However, if we adjust any setting on the screen, Freesync is disabled. It is good to make any desired adjustments in colors, brightness, etc. and then enable Freesync.

The screen is very bright. It depends on the room lighting and our preferences, but it definitely needs a lower setting than what it is. The menu is very easy. Even I, who have never dealt with settings, learned them in 10 minutes.

The plastic parts are good, it does not remind of fake construction, and there is also a support for headphones on the back.

It has two negative points. The viewing angles are not good. Colors darken quite a bit with a slight deviation from the straight view. Secondly, it is the stability. The frame of the screen moves excessively even when typing text. Fortunately, there was a ready-made wall mount in the box.

To be fair, 4.5/5 stars.
