Description

Description

Athens, 5th century (B.C. redundant). The ivory and gold Athena has resided in the Parthenon since 438. Year 422, Aristophanes, famous, awarded for the fourth time, brilliant and dazzlingly young - about 25 years old. Athens ("divine city") leader and terror.

Cleon, triumphant demagogue, guides Justice and Politics. Aristophanes warns and attacks with the 'Wasps'. With his hero, the litigious Philocleon (Cleon-lover). The simplistic "redeemer" son will save his father from the rotten judicial-political system, only to ultimately lead him to a parasitic, foolish, and corrupt way of life.

Bitter, sharp, beneath a comical guise, masterful motion and a harbinger of Surrealism.
