This book, aimed at answering the question "how can teaching be improved?", presents the structural elements of teaching and its prerequisites (humanistic and socio-cultural) and analyzes them. The analysis offers "a broad field for teaching-theoretical thinking and their examination and consideration give scientificity to teaching practice and make it a conscious process".
In an effort to prevent the educator from adhering to a single teaching method, it offers a plethora of teaching possibilities through various teaching models. This pursuit is strengthened by resorting to the three basic co-determining factors in choosing the teaching method, namely the learner, the set goals, and the subject (the texture of the subject, the specificity of the subject). The method is presented here as a field where the educator moves without state manipulation.
At the same time, wanting to relativize the power of the school textbook as the sole source of knowledge and information in school, it offers strong stimuli for drawing educational content (=teaching subjects) from other sources. It is also acknowledged here that this book aims to act preventively against a potential danger in school, namely the self-imprisonment of the educator in the school textbook.
The pedagogical and teaching thoughts expressed in this text offer a broad field for theoretical inquiries of the student (prospective educator) and the already established educator, as well as support points for a methodical and systematic organization of teaching; a teaching, of course, free from strict and inflexible structures.
