Pardon my English.
I have never experimented with this pair of speakers, FYI, they were my third or fourth set of Edifiers.
From day one they were connected using the optical-out of my sound card with Stereo-192kHz-24bits as a playback configuration. No sub has ever been connected to the audio system, and perhaps never will.
They sounded great, as expected, at stock settings, so I never messed with them, to the best of my recollection.
Americans have a saying: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
I must admit, I see the wisdom in that.
