The articles included in this volume attempt to explore the elements of a progressive policy in Greece today. What should a modern center-left proposal for power aim for? What structural elements should constitute it?
In our country, the rhetoric of progressiveness is abundant, but a coherent and contemporary progressive political analysis is rare. With these articles, we try to address, to some extent, this gap. The articles gathered here certainly do not cover all areas of public policy.
However, they represent a small sample of thought on specific issues, which concern the relationship between the center-left and reforms, the economy, the environment, the politics of the European Union, national security, and reforms.
This book combines the comprehensive and realistic discourse of center-left politicians who held power with the more analytical and essayistic discourse of academics.
