Due to its exceptional durability, the lens is ideal for street photography and landscapes. The complex construction of LEICA lenses not only allows for stunning sharpness to the edges, but also avoids distortions that are often annoying at wide angles and lines are reproduced accurately.

The aperture clamp facilitates exposure adjustment and the AF/MF switch allows for manual focus transition while locking onto the subject.
