    A few days ago I bought this product... It looks very good and very sturdy. I only had regular mouse pads before and for a long time I used to place the mouse directly on the table. Both sides glide smoothly (the smooth side more, of course). I have the smooth surface because I don't like the rough surface feeling on my hand. Also, because it doesn't show well in the photo, the aluminum around it is lower compared to the surface where you place the mouse (it looks (and probably is) like it's all aluminum and the surface where you place the mouse is glued on top). I am satisfied with my purchase since I wanted something for an uneven surface (so that it's flat and doesn't take the shape of the surface) and I can say that it doesn't bend at all (a little, but essentially not at all). I REPEAT! I have never had a good mouse pad before, so I can't compare
