Τα jacks των 3.5mm είναι για να συνδέει κανείς ακουστικά τα οποία και τροφοδοτούνται με αναλογικό σήμα. Το S/PDIF, αν δεν κάνω λάθος, είναι ψηφιακό πράγμα το οποίο κάνει την έξοδο 3.5mm ασύμβατη με το πρότυπο αυτό.
