It is not meant to be sat on for hours, but it is very convenient as a secondary seat (e.g. next to the shoe rack).
As for its construction, it looks so simple and seems funny, it is made of 3-4mm MDF sheets, you can see it when you unpack it and immediately think "can this hold a person?". And yet, I use it without any problem and I weigh 110 kilograms.
The leatherette is completely plastic, which is not bad in this case because it cleans very easily with a damp cloth.
For its price, it is fantastic.

Perfect purchase. Definitely worth the money. Practical in the sense that:

1. You can store things in it.
2. You can use it as a decoration in any room of the house.
3. You can sit on it or place things on top of it, using it either as a coffee table or next to the bed as a nightstand.
4. You can use it to transport small items in case of moving
