The product is top-notch, as long as you know why you’re buying it. I used it on a black metal car mirror that had two rough gray lines, 3–4 centimeters long, after contact with a white vehicle. I didn’t use the sandpapers, only the two polishing compounds:
1. I cleaned the area locally with rubbing alcohol and a makeup-removal cotton pad.
2. I didn’t use the sandpapers included in the package (I think that’s where all the damage and cloudiness you read about in other reviews happens). On the other hand, they may be necessary for deeper scratches.
3. I worked the No. 1 (Repair) tube with the cloth locally over the line for 15–20 seconds, applying steady pressure. The white lines were reduced to hairline marks.
4. I immediately wiped away the residue with a damp paper towel and dried the area.
5. I applied the No. 2 (Finish) tube in circular motions for another 20 seconds.
The result: The scratch disappeared 100%, the surface became completely smooth to the touch, and the factory gloss was fully restored. After washing and waxing, the mirror looks as if it had never been hit.
