The edition –which is published in honor of the 20th Congress of the KKE– presents the actions and heroic sacrifices of 28 KKE officials who were members of its central leading bodies (the Political Bureau, the Central Committee, and the Central Control Committee).

This is a continuation of the tribute event that took place at the headquarters of the KKE in Perissos on March 30, 2016, marking the anniversary of the execution of Nikos Beloyannis.

These 28 officials were recognized leaders of the working class, who, when necessary, took the path of armed struggle, during the fight of the EAM-ELAS and later in the DSE.

Their deep faith in the cause of the working class and in the KKE resulted in their unyielding stance during interrogations and torture, even in the face of certain death sentences and executions.

The officials referred to include: Anastasidis Stergios, Arabatzis Nikos, Vasiliadis Aristos, Ververis Vasilis, Gamvetas Kostas, Giouzelis Stefanos, Dimitriou Giorgos (Milinis), Erythiriadis Giorgis - Petris, Zagourtzi Nikos, Zevgos Giannis, Kavvadias Vangelis, Kalodikis Spyros, Kiappes Ilias, Ktistakis Vangelis, Lazaridis Kostas, Ligdopoulos Dimosthenis, Mangos Theodoros, Markezenis Vasilis, Mouzenidis Adam, Beloyannis Nikos, Paparigas Mitsos, Ploumpidis Nikos, Santis Panagiotis, Sklaivenas Stelios, Tsitilos Giorgos, Tsourtsoulis Aristotelis, Farmakis Kostas, Chatzimalis Kostas.
