During the battle, players can sacrifice a portion of Celica's health to summon a computer-controlled Illusory Hero, who will act as a temporary ally for one turn. As Celica becomes stronger, her stats can be saved to the amiibo, allowing the Phantom Helper to grow stronger with her.
