Description

Our monastery took on the publication of this book, following the offer and request of the one who compiled the material, out of reverence towards the memory of the ever-memorable Elder Paisios, with whom the founder of our monastery, Elder Porphyrios, was known.

Despite their differing personalities, their great love for Christ and humanity was evident. At the same time, they possessed a remarkable simplicity, one might say a childlike quality, without diminishing their wisdom and seriousness. They knew when to joke and share charming, instructive stories when the love and rest of a brother called for it.

But our good God, who is so rich in all things, that from the simple elements of the world, He created such diverse beings, so that you would never encounter two things that are absolutely identical, did not wish to create two identical people. Thus, each of us has our own character, and certainly, every person of God has their own.
