I will not mention the functions of it since I am also satisfied with them, but I will focus on the issue of build quality. This device takes 2 AA batteries in its base with the indicators, and the battery cover tightens onto the rest of the body with a screw. In my case, without much effort (I always keep it on the top part of my toolbox without anything pressing on it), this cover broke and the batteries do not make a circuit unless I press it, so the device does not work. I fixed it by tightening it with insulation tape, but it is not acceptable for a professional tool, especially not a particularly cheap one, to break so easily.
UPDATE: It turned out that it does not withstand the test of time. After not even 2 years and without much use, one day it suddenly stopped working. I changed the batteries, checked if they were tightly pressed and the circuit was closed, but nothing, it just did not turn on again.
After a little research, I bought the immediately better model of the series, ut18d, with better features, and I take care of it like my own eyes. I do not put it together with other tools because it is constructed the same way as the ut18c, and I do not want it to break in two as well. Time will tell if it is worth it
Δεν θα αναφερθω στις λειτουργιες του μιας και ειμαι και γω ικανοποιημενος απο αυτες αλλα θα σταθω στο θεμα της ποιοτητας κατασκευης. Το οργανο αυτο παιρνει 2 μπαταριες ΑΑ στην βαση του ακρου με τις ενδειξεις και το καπακι των μπαταριων σφιγγει στο υπολοιπο στελεχος με μια βιδα. σε μενα και χωρις ιδιαιτερο ζορι ( το εχω παντα στο πανω μερος της εργαλειοθηκης μου χωρις να το πιεζει κατι αλλο) εσπασε αυτο το καπακι και δεν κλεινουν κυκλωμα οι μπαταριες αν δεν το πιεσω οποτε δεν λειτουργει το οργανο. το εφτιαξα σφιγγωντας το με μονωτικη ταινια αλλα οπως και να γινει δεν ειναι αποδεκτο σε επαγγελματικο εργαλειο οχι ιδιαιτερα φτηνο να σπαει με τετοια ευκολια.
ΕΝΗΜΕΡΩΣΗ: αποδειχτηκε τελικα οτι δεν αντεχει στο χρονο. Μετα απο ουτε 2 χρονια και χωρις πολλη πολλη χρηση ξαφνικα μια μερα σταματησε να λειτουργει. Αλλαξα μπαταριες, τσεκαρα μηπως δεν πατουσαν σφιχτα και δεν εκλεινε κυκλωμα αλλα τιποτα, απλα δεν ξανααναψε.
Μετα απο λιγο ψαξιμο πηρα το αμεσως καλυτερο της σειρας, ut18d με καλυτερα χαρακτιριστικα και το προσεχω σαν τα ματια μου. Δεν το βαζω μαζι με αλλα εργαλεια γιατι ειναι ιδιο κατασκευαστικά με το ut18c και δεν θελω να μου σπασει και αυτο στα 2. ο χρονος θα δειξει αν αξιζει
