In this study, I attempted to approach the remarkable development of the Greek element in the area of Romania, which was mainly engaged in trade and historically appeared since the mid-15th century.
Its evolution reached great prosperity in the 19th century when the Greeks organized themselves into communities as legal entities, with the primary aim of building a community church. Life in the community revolved around the church, which kept the Greek consciousness of its members vibrant.
