Of all the marsupials, the kangaroo is the most well-known. However, Australia is not just the land of kangaroos. On this continent - and not only on this one - there exists an amazing parallel world, which is the most striking example of the phenomenon known as evolutionary convergence.

Let’s see what this means: species that were initially different (and sometimes very different) end up, due to conditions related to natural selection, exhibiting similarities that, in many cases, are astonishing. From a zoological perspective, Australia is truly the place of biological analogies, of parallel lives.
