The publication of the Proceedings of the 12th Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), which convened in Budapest over 40 years ago, constitutes just one part of the multifaceted activities of our Party, which also includes publishing, in honor of the 90 years since its founding in November 1918.

Alongside the publications for this anniversary, the KKE is also planning to release materials and documents from its archive, which is currently being preserved, aiming to contribute to widespread knowledge and study of the history of the KKE, as well as historical research.

The circumstances under which the KKE operated during those years, as well as the harshness of the class struggle that continues in the new situation created after the counter-revolution of 1989-1991, are highlighted in the pages of the "Proceedings of the 12th Plenary Session." These are unprecedented and thus more challenging conditions for the international communist movement and for the KKE.

We believe that this publication will be particularly useful for the new generations of communists, for the members and leaders of KNE, and for every young person interested in learning about the heroic history of the KKE.
