The visual they offer is very close to human eyesight and is often referred to as "normal". They provide a natural result with minimal distortions, while also having zoom capability. Their focal distance usually starts from 40-55mm in full frame, 25-40mm in crop frame, and 80-100mm in medium format.

Tele Zoom

Telephoto lenses with zoom capability and optics that allow photography from a distance.

Lenses with a focal length of 80-135mm on full frame, 50-75mm on crop frame, and 120-180mm on medium format are ideal for portrait photography as they allow for photography from a moderate distance and flatter the subject's features.
