Hartmann Grassolind Neutral adhesive dressings are made of loosely woven cotton fabric and impregnated with a neutral ointment containing no active substances. The ointment contains white petroleum jelly, a diglyceride ester of monocarboxylic and dicarboxylic fatty acids, and synthetic wax. The dressings are permeable to air and exudate, while the ointment remains in the fabric even with heavy exudation.
They can be easily cut to the desired size and used to treat wounds such as abrasions, cuts, and burns, as well as in plastic and cosmetic surgery, nail removal, and procedures for phimosis.
